| My name is Lynda and I founded Seekers Of Unexplained Louisiana. Being founder of this team has more to it than just saying "oh yea I created this." Not only did I create this team, but I am also webmaster of this and any other S.O.U.L sites/groups. I coordinate all events such as meetings, investigations, and more. I research the history of locations we investigate, I find locations to investigate, I do all the paperwork, I review the evidence and much more. Yes, it is a lot of work, but this is something I enjoy doing. Besides, I have a wonderful team helping! Although my team has only been around a couple of years, I have been doing paranormal investigations and research for about 14 years now. I'm thirty now, but I have been interested in the paranormal for as long as I can remember. I grew up in and around one of the most haunted cities in the country, New Orleans. I have had far too many personal experiences with the paranormal world to just brush it off. My reason for creating this team was that I wanted to join in the search for the truth about the paranormal world. I wanted to help answer that famous question of "Do ghosts really exist?" My team and I strive to get proof that they do, but we are skeptical at the same time. It is funny actually. As much as a believer as I am, it makes me that much more of a skeptic when it comes to analyzing evidence. I suppose it is because when I do find something I want to be 100% certain that it is legitimate. I want the paranormal world to prove itself to me. I am currently a Business student, which has really come in handy with this team. I have taken Business Law, Small Business Management, Business Math, Psychology, and Introduction to Business to name a few. These courses have all related to what I now do with the team. They have helped me learn more about how to read people, make decisions regarding the team, create legal documents, coordinate events, and so much more. However, it was not just school that has aided in my creation and coordinating of this team. It was also my experiences in life itself. I have done, and still do many things that play a huge helping role in running this team. First and foremost I am a photographer. (lg-photography.net) I have also done webdesign, coordinated weddings and other events, worked in public relations by booking and promoting local bands. Through these things I have gained a lot of patience and people skills as well as the knowledge of how to organize things, create web pages, and take better photographs. Obviously things do not always go as planned, so I have learned to deal with issues as they arise. The final thing that is helping me with this team is that I have always been a very ambitious, creative, organized and persistent person...and yes even a bit of a perfectionist. All this is especially true for something I am passionate about and really believe in. This of course applies to this team. This team and its purpose means a lot to me, and I am going to do all I can to make sure it is a success. |
